Selected by Michael Henry and bottled exclusively for the Southport Whisky Festival 2021, we are delighted to present a Single Cask, Peated Single Grain from Loch Lomond, bottled at cask strength, 61.3%.
At last year’s virtual festival Michael shared a cask sample of something very similar to this and it turned a lot of heads!
Cask #730, 2nd fill ex-bourbon, natural colour and non-chill filtered. Distilled April 2017, bottled June 2021, 1 of 247 bottles.
Floral with sweet medicinal peat and aniseed spice. There is green apple, blackcurrant, some lemon citrus and vanilla before tangy peat and clove spice on the finish.
